A music system gifted to a newlywed couple at their wedding turned out to be a fatal explosive device, leading to the death of the 25-year-old groom in an explosion caused by the rigged music system.
A day after their marriage on April 1, the groom, identified as 25-year-old Hemendra Merawi, was at his home in Chhattisgarh’s Kabirdham district, India, with his family when the fatal blast occurred.
The explosion not only claimed the groom’s life but also resulted in the death of his brother, identified as 30-year-old Rajkumar, who was present at the time of the incident.

The ex-lover, identified as Sarju Markam, 33, and an auto mechanic by profession, was arrested at his workplace on April 3 as the individual who gifted the deadly music system to the newlyweds.
Investigations revealed that Markam, who was already married with children, bore resentment towards the bride for rejecting his proposal for her to become his second wife, leading to the vengeful act of gifting the rigged music system.
Markam’s scheme involved the use of stolen explosive materials obtained during his previous employment, which he utilized to create the deadly device.
The elaborate plan resulted in the tragic loss of lives and left a deep emotional impact on the affected families and community.
Markam now faces severe legal consequences for his deliberate and cruel actions.
