According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Tracy Morgan is really looking forward to a time when the coronavirus pandemic is over and he can start hugging people again. As the world knows, most Western nations are under quarantine to help curb the spread of COVID-19.
There are no exceptions to the rule either, as many celebrities and performing artists have had no choice to stay at home like everyone else, with a few exceptions, of course.
During a recent appearence on The Howard Stern Show, the actor-comedian shared what he thought of all the first-responders who are actively making sacrifices to help combat the virus. The Saturday Night Live alum said, “you’re my hero,” in reference to all of the medical workers on the frontlines.
Morgan added, “we need you, and really, that’s coming from my heart.” The comedian went on to say “f*ck show business,” because there are a lot of people in the world fighting the virus, and healthcare workers and first-responders deserve some of the credit now.
According to Morgan, he hopes scientists are able to find a cure or a vaccination soon. The comic, after Stern and Rob said to him that everything would soon pass, claimed he couldn’t wait to give them all a big hug again.
As it was noted above, there are over 180 countries afflicted with the virus at the time of writing. Earlier today, however, it was reported by multiple outlets that it appears as though social distancing has started working in the state of New York, despite the fact the state just recorded their worst day of death thus far.
According to a report from San Francisco Gate, there were 731 people killed in one day, making it the largest increase in deaths since they first started recording. Governor Andrew Cuomo revealed the total death toll in the state hovers around 5,489.

With that said, the silver lining to the story is that there have been fewer entrances to the hospital over the last week. City and state officials are beginning to speculate that the worst of the virus has passed.
